Choir stalls, St. Florian's Monastery
St. Florian, Austria

This is one of four statues of the Doctors of the Church that flank the two rows of choir stalls. St. Augustine is identified by his episcopal insignia (mitre, crozier, cope) and by the burning heart in his right hand. The book at his left thigh references his many writings.
